![]() ![]() Considering how the Spheralis functions in Phoenotopia: Awakening, it's safe to say that this idea has managed to come to fruition after all.Interestingly, in an earlier build of Phoenotopia, the Artifact was called the "Ancient's Flute" and was described as an instrument that also served as the key to the Forbidden Lands' ancient temples. However, instead of receiving the Spheralis shard from Prince Leo, Gail is tasked with retrieving it from the Royal Archive, resulting in her having to fight a Mainframe in order to find the shard. In the remake, the Spheralis's history is largely the same. In this game, Thomass Lab is a small building with a few Golems idling around. It is the home and the workshop of Castellas scientist extraordinaire, Thomas. The head of this Golem was found by Gail who, through a series of adventures, managed to obtain the Artifact shard from Prince Leo and group up with the other Golems at the Ancient's Crater and recreate the Artifact. Thomass Lab is a small area in Chapter 3 of Phoenotopia and Phoenotopia: Awakening, located just beyond Crossroads in the former game. While most of the Golems were successful, the one sent to Castella crashed and broke upon landing. When the Stellanites came to Earth, they sent remote-controlled Golems to each kingdom to retrieve these shards and reunite the Artifact. Sometime after the Great War, the Spheralis was split up into several crystal shards that were divided among the kingdoms of Earth and safeguarded by their respective royal families. ![]() Using its musical powers, the Spheralis can be used to deactivate Megaliths and interact with control panels that can alter the surrounding environment in various ways depending on what note you play. Thus, the Spheralis is essentially a high-tech version of the Flute not only can it be used to activate Song Stones, but it can also manipulate ancient tech in various ways. "An exceptional fish-catching tool created by Havelock. Because of this, Gail can have the Serpent Rod in use for twice as long as the Fishing Rod, giving her much more time to try to reel in fish. However, the Serpent Rod is different from the Fishing Rod in that Gail's energy drains twice as slowly when using it. Much like the regular Fishing Rod, the Serpent Rod allows Gail to catch fish, and functions exactly the same way as its predecessor. The Serpent Rod is a tool appearing in Phoenotopia Awakening. Gail receives it from Havelock after defeating the Green Slargummies in Subterra. ![]()

![]() ![]() The United States and Europe are experiencing difficult times, but positive business trends in Asia, the Middle East, and Latin America are helping to offset this. This is because these countries' customers are constantly looking to fill permanent positions in strategically important areas of their businesses. Despite the slowdown and "looming recession," MAN's permanent placement business is booming in many of its largest markets outside the United States, including the United Kingdom, France, Italy, Japan, Spain, and the Nordic countries. I'd like to highlight the positives that have occurred thus far that lend credence to a long-term bull case before diving into the specific drawbacks. Therefore, I am changing my rating to neutral for the foreseeable future. ![]() While I remain optimistic about the company's long-term prospects, it may be prudent to wait for the MAN share price to drop even further before loading up. I am now more worried that the near-term share price will be significantly impacted by the short-term weakness due to the new guidance and persistently high inflation in the Europe region. As a result, 2Q23 forecasts for France predict a similar dip in income. While sales in France were above expectations in 1Q23, management noted that the trend was flattening out, if not declining, as the quarter came to a close. This is expected to be similar or slightly higher in the US compared to the decline in revenue experienced in the 1Q23. The main point of focus for 1Q23 is the forecast that 2Q23 revenues will decrease by 3% in an organic, currency-neutral basis at the middle point of the guided range. Fortunately, gross margin held steady in 1Q23 at 18.2%, but I anticipate it will start to decline in the coming quarters as we approach the lap of record high permanent recruitment activity in 2022. In 1Q23, organic fx-neutral same day basis revenue was down 4% y/y, with the largest decline occurring in the United States (-13% y/y). When considering other growth metrics, MAN did not fare any better. Although MAN's adjusted EPS of $1.61 for the 1Q23 was only slightly below expectations, the company's guidance for 2Q23 has caused consensus to lower their earnings guidance for the full year (consensus EPS went from ~1.82 to ~1.62, a 11% revision). My buy rating for ManpowerGroup ( NYSE: MAN) comes to test this 1Q23. Sometimes I don't even have time to get back. And once again what really gets frustrating for me is that everytime I try to go out and explore this new cool map or go out to save someone, my base gets assaulted. Just hang around the very edge of the danger zone for 2 minutes. Go left from this wall to see a fence that you scan climb past to reach a danger zone. After rescuing the LZ, head northeast from the base until you reach a graffiti wall. When they do shoot, it's like they aim for body shots and almost always shoot at Swat zombies if they're around. At the beginning of Lifeline you will have 2 well-equipped companions to make this achievement a bit easier. It's possible for a soldier to spawn without a cap or helmet, although it's not an usual occurrence. State of Decay: Lifeline puts you into the boots of Greyhound One, a military unit sent into a zombie-infested city to rescue the team of scientists who can put an end to the outbreak.Sometimes a soldier will have the "Hates the Military" trait (which is rarer than any of the soldier types mentioned above), with the description stating that nobody knows what the player is even doing in the city (same as for Vienna Cho's trait of the same name). All proper non-uniformed reservists seem to have a medicine-related trait, as well as the usual random additional skills. State of Decay: Lifeline, the latest DLC pack for Undead Labs' zombie apocalypse game (original review here), replaces the rural surroundings of Trumbull Valley with the urban sprawl of Danforth, and your team of civilian survivors with a crack military unit on a mission. On that note, it's also possible to have a uniformed soldier have the "Reservist" trait, even though it has no actual impact on that soldier. It's possible to get reservists (i.e., non-uniformed personnel) from these missions, however, they are extremely rare (not as rare as special forces soldiers though still enough for most players to never see one of them, except for one of the story-related characters). Also, they seem to always lack a backpack. Their uniforms appear to be the same as for normal soldiers. They come with very high skill levels and the best guns available. ![]()
