![]() ![]() Considering how the Spheralis functions in Phoenotopia: Awakening, it's safe to say that this idea has managed to come to fruition after all.Interestingly, in an earlier build of Phoenotopia, the Artifact was called the "Ancient's Flute" and was described as an instrument that also served as the key to the Forbidden Lands' ancient temples.However, instead of receiving the Spheralis shard from Prince Leo, Gail is tasked with retrieving it from the Royal Archive, resulting in her having to fight a Mainframe in order to find the shard. In the remake, the Spheralis's history is largely the same. In this game, Thomass Lab is a small building with a few Golems idling around. It is the home and the workshop of Castellas scientist extraordinaire, Thomas. The head of this Golem was found by Gail who, through a series of adventures, managed to obtain the Artifact shard from Prince Leo and group up with the other Golems at the Ancient's Crater and recreate the Artifact. Thomass Lab is a small area in Chapter 3 of Phoenotopia and Phoenotopia: Awakening, located just beyond Crossroads in the former game. While most of the Golems were successful, the one sent to Castella crashed and broke upon landing. When the Stellanites came to Earth, they sent remote-controlled Golems to each kingdom to retrieve these shards and reunite the Artifact. Sometime after the Great War, the Spheralis was split up into several crystal shards that were divided among the kingdoms of Earth and safeguarded by their respective royal families. ![]() Using its musical powers, the Spheralis can be used to deactivate Megaliths and interact with control panels that can alter the surrounding environment in various ways depending on what note you play. Thus, the Spheralis is essentially a high-tech version of the Flute not only can it be used to activate Song Stones, but it can also manipulate ancient tech in various ways. In the remake, the Spheralis is portrayed as a musical instrument that uses sound waves to send commands to ancient technology.
